Vanessa Butani - VP Group Sustainability at Electrolux

Tuesday 28th September 2021, 11:30-12:30 CEST

Tackling climate change by reducing greenhouse gases is one of the greatest, most urgent challenges facing society. At the same time, demand for water is set to increase by as much as 40% by 2030, meaning that a billion more people will live in places where water can no longer be taken for granted.

Efficient appliances can help with these issues, by saving energy and water throughout their lifespan. Product energy use is responsible for over 80% of our climate impact, so product energy efficiency is where Electrolux can make the greatest contribution to tackling climate change.

A graduate from the Ivey Business School at Western University, Strategy consultant with Accenture, Head of Planning & Development at Plan International, and most recently Director of Sustainable Business at Scandic Hotels, Vanessa now heads up one of the world’s most successful white goods manufacturer’s work in sustainability in Europe.

This talk is held online, meeting details will be sent on in a separate email upon successful registration. Members can register up to 5 guests, either by giving details during member registration, or by emailing contact@irishchamber.se afterwards.
