Linda Madigan and Martin Hofler will talk about Irelands work with food quality & sustainability and the increased importance of the Swedish market in a post-brexit world.
Linda Madigan is Bord Bia’s Nordic Market Manager, based in Stockholm for over six years. The Bord Bía office has been permanent presence in the region since 2011, acknowledging the significant opportunity the Nordics offer. Bord Bía works to help the Irish industry diversify and seek out new business opportunities and to strengthen Ireland's presence in the Nordic market.
Linda holds a MSc. Intl. Marketing Practice from UCD Smurfit, Dip in Strategic Growth (Food Industry) from UCD Smurfit, Diploma in Scandinavian Area Studies from Odense University Denmark, BBS Business Studies and Marketing from WIT Waterford.
Martin Hofler is Bord Bia’s Origin Green Development Manager. In this role Martin is responsible for managing Ireland’s national food and drink sustainability programme, Origin Green. This involves the project management of strategic sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Irish food and drink industry and international stakeholders. Prior to his current role, Martin has previously worked in various sustainability roles with PepsiCo U.S., Ornua Deutschland (Kerrygold) and Jacobs Engineering.
Martin holds a MSc. in Business Sustainability from UCD Smurfit, MSc. in Environmental Science from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc. in Environmental Science from the University of Scranton.
